The amazing Abby Covert kicked off our distinguished lecture series with her talk titled ‘Make Sense: Information Architecture for Everybody’. Her presentation was an entertaining overview of what, at it’s core, IA is and how it comes up in our everyday lives (the answer: pretty much everywhere). She covered everything from IA problems to tools that can be used to solve those problems, and even fit in explanations of ontologies and taxonomies. We all came away with a better understanding of information architecture and are re-energized go out and solve the worlds problems with it.
Though we attempted to record her wonderful presentation, technology thwarted us once again. Instead, please enjoy her slides!
P.S. There are rumors that this presentation will be recorded in the future by true professionals. If we ever get our hands on that, we will share it with you immediately.
