Our client is Ceneco Green Power, a Nigerian solar energy company that offers services to install and maintain solar systems for diverse uses: residential, commercial, agricultural, and off-grid rural communities. It also plans to introduce an AI monitoring system for solar health and an electric vehicle service in the near future.

With over seven years of industry experience, Ceneco Green Power has undergone a brand transformation, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and revolutionizing energy access. In this project, we worked on a website redesign to reflect this new identity and improve the user experience.

Research revealed that visitors want clear, concise information, relatable storytelling, and interactive elements that help them understand complex solar technologies quickly and intuitively. These insights drove our priorities for both pages. 

Home Page

On the Homepage, we focused on positioning CENECO as a leader in solar innovation by highlighting future-oriented technologies and solutions. The hero section introduces CENECO’s commitment to reliability, sustainability, and intelligent energy. We used visually striking infographics and success metrics to showcase CENECO’s achievements and impact immediately.

Simplified service descriptions allow visitors to quickly understand the scope of offerings, including residential, commercial, off-grid, and EV solutions. By keeping content concise and accessible, we ensure visitors can easily identify why solar power and, more importantly, why CENECO is the best choice. Emphasizing the integration of AI-driven systems and IoT technology reinforces CENECO’s position as an innovator, while clear calls to action invite users to explore services or get in touch.

About Us Page

The About Us page builds on this foundation by deepening trust and connection through storytelling and transparency. We crafted a compelling Vision and Mission section that articulates CENECO’s dedication to a sustainable and technology-driven future. In the Our Story section, we shared the journey of how CENECO evolved from a passionate idea into a leader in solar technology. This narrative approach humanizes the brand and allows visitors to connect with CENECO on a personal level. The Meet the Team section introduces key members, reinforcing the idea that behind every project is a group of dedicated experts who care about their clients’ needs.

To emphasize CENECO’s strengths, the Shaping the Future, One Step at a Time section uses icons and taglines to communicate core advantages: reliable technology, sustainability, and customer-centric service. This ensures visitors can quickly grasp what sets CENECO apart. The interactive map highlights CENECO’s global reach, allowing users to visualize the company’s real-world impact and successful projects. Featuring trusted partners and awards further builds credibility, demonstrating that CENECO’s excellence is recognized by industry leaders.

For each of the five main services — Residential, Commercial, Solar-Powered Irrigation, Off-Grid Communities, and Electric Vehicles — we applied CENECO’s storytelling strategy to guide users through the journey of adopting solar energy. We designed a timeline feature to illustrate the CENECO Service Process, providing a step-by-step visual narrative of what clients can expect, from consultation to installation and ongoing support. This helps demystify the process, making it approachable and transparent.

Each service page begins with a clear, engaging introduction that outlines what the service entails and who it benefits. We then include sections that highlight the common benefits of solar adoption — such as cost savings, environmental impact, energy independence, and reliability. These benefits are presented in a way that is relevant to each specific service, ensuring the content remains personalized and engaging.

Customer education is woven throughout each service page, with dedicated sections providing insights on why solar adoption is beneficial and how CENECO’s approach ensures a smooth transition to solar energy. This empowers users to make informed decisions and positions CENECO as a trusted resource. Calls to action at the end of each service page guide visitors toward the next steps, whether it’s learning more, requesting a consultation, or contacting the team.

Articles Page

The Articles page was redesigned to enhance user engagement and make educational content more accessible. The main article list page features a clean, organized layout with high-quality images accompanying each article title. This visual approach not only makes the page more appealing but also helps users quickly identify topics of interest.

Within each individual article, we added more images as visual elements to break up large blocks of text and illustrate key points. This keeps readers engaged and aids in understanding complex topics. The design supports CENECO’s mission of customer education by making learning about solar energy and technology both informative and visually stimulating. The layout ensures that visitors can easily browse articles, dive deeper into topics, and leave with valuable insights.

Contact Us Page

The Contact Us page was streamlined for simplicity and efficiency. It features a clean, user-friendly contact form where visitors can quickly provide their details and submit inquiries. To reinforce accessibility, we included a prominent banner displaying CENECO’s location and phone number, making it easy for users to reach out directly. This layout ensures that visitors can connect with CENECO effortlessly, fostering a sense of openness and availability.

Across the pages we redesigned, our design strategy focuses on storytelling, technology, and education to create an experience that reflects CENECO’s commitment to innovation, transparency, and customer empowerment. By combining visual elements, timelines, educational content, and intuitive layouts, we ensure that visitors can easily understand CENECO’s services, benefits, and expertise, ultimately driving trust and engagement.

Conclusion

Client’s Response to the Final Design Work

The client appreciated the research-driven design approach, acknowledging how the final deliverables effectively highlight CENECO’s innovative vision, strengths, and customer-focused services. They particularly valued the attention to detail and the way storytelling and technology were seamlessly integrated into the Homepage, About Us, and Service pages.

The client mentioned plans to enhance the website further by hiring a professional photographer to replace placeholders with authentic images, which will reinforce CENECO’s credibility and personalization. During the discussion, the idea of incorporating an e-commerce section was brought up to allow customers to conveniently order solar irrigation systems and electric vehicles. The team suggested integrating this e-commerce feature into the service’s main page for a cohesive user experience. The final deliverables provided to the client included the Figma file, an interactive prototype, comprehensive presentation slides, a competitive analysis diagram, a design guide document, and an asset list. These materials equip the client with a solid foundation to move forward, ensuring CENECO’s digital presence continues to align with its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer engagement.

Lessons Learned

Throughout the design and development process for CENECO’s website, several key lessons emerged that provided valuable insights for the team and future projects. One of the most significant takeaways was the power of research-driven design. By thoroughly understanding user needs, industry trends, and client goals, we were able to create a design strategy that aligned with CENECO’s vision of innovation, transparency, and customer education. This reinforced the importance of investing time in research to deliver designs that not only resonate with users but also meet business objectives effectively.

Another crucial lesson was that storytelling enhances engagement. Integrating CENECO’s journey, team introductions, and success stories with attractive headings or taglines into the website helped to build trust and relatability. This humanized the brand and made complex solar technologies feel more approachable. We found that weaving narratives into web design creates a deeper emotional connection with users, making the experience more memorable and impactful.

Next Steps and Updates to the Status of the Work

The project is now moving into the final delivery phase. We discussed the delivery of design files and outlined the development plan, offering to provide detailed documentation on how to utilize the Figma files for code development and WordPress integration. This will ensure a smooth handoff for the development team and streamline the implementation process.

The client prefers that all final files, including the Figma prototypes, design guide, and asset list, be delivered via Google Drive for easy access and review. The project is now set for delivery, and all parties are aligned for a successful launch and potential future enhancements, such as the planned e-commerce integration.
